In recent years, there has been growing concern over the labor distribution and treatment of European women in business and STEM fields. Women continue to face numerous challenges, including gender bias, unequal pay, limited opportunities for career advancement, and a lack of representation in leadership roles. European women in business and STEM often encounter deep-rooted gender bias and discrimination. Despite their qualifications and expertise, they face disproportionate challenges in securing leadership positions, receiving equal pay, and gaining access to professional networks. This systemic bias not only limits their career growth but also perpetuates a cycle of inequality within these industries.

Recognizing the urgency of the issue, the European Parliament has been actively advocating for gender equality in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, as well as in business sectors.
Despite the effort, FEMM Chairperson May Munoz raised her voice and expressed her concern regarding how today’s conference would resolve the pertinent issue effectively, and therefore, the chairperson calls for better focus on discussing the outcry from the respected women all over Europe so as to feasibly resolve the situation.
