The Soviet Union: Incapable Heroic Dream

AFP - by Olivia LANZ

Unlike the United States and its NATO allies, the Soviet Union did not maintain a significant military presence in Africa in regard to the process of decolonisation of the region.

In the latest press conference in the evening at UNGA, the Soviet mentioned its military intention in Kenya. However, the plan of the Soviet exerting its influence met with an impediment resulting from lack of military resources at its disposal.

Acknowledging the situation, the Soviet Union currently come to terms with their inactive position in the Kenyan battlefield despite their heroic ambition of leading Kenya towards the light of freedom via the spread of Communism.

Additionally, the Soviet Union faced the risk of provoking a wider conflict with NATO if it attempted to intervene militarily in Kenya. The alliance has said to have recognised the challenge and claimed their whole-hearted commitment to the international middle-class movements for freedom.
