Soviet ft. USA: Friendship is not magic

AFP - By Patrick Gilbert and Olivia Lanz

It is with great grief and pension that we hear of the attack on 89 French NATO troops in the Nairobi area, and our hearts go out to their families and loved ones. The conflict in Kenya has reached a boiling point, with tensions between the Soviet Union and NATO escalating rapidly. The French Republic is right to be concerned about the safety of its troops, especially in light of rumors that the Soviet Union is planning to support KLFA.

Nonetheless, we must bear in mind that the real victims of this conflict are the people of Kenya. The damages in Mombasa continue to mount, with both Kenya troops and NATO forces suffering. It is time for the Soviet Union and Kenya to come to the negotiating table and find a peaceful resolution to this conflict. Violence is not the answer and will only lead to more suffering!

The importance of negotiation and peace talks cannot be overstated. We cannot allow the battlefield in Kenya to be used as a pawn in the escalating tensions between the Soviet Union and NATO. The French Republic must continue to prioritize the safety of its troops, but we all must join hands to prioritize the safety and well-being of the people of Kenya. It is of paramount importance that the conflict between the Soviet Union and NATO come to an end!
