France deployed more troops to Algeria, escalating the conflict in the region and defying the Algerian’s will to determination.

The Algerian National Liberal Fronts (ANLF) have stood up against French colonizers being one of the many freedom movements in Africa. They adapted the guerilla warfare used by the Viet Minh that ultimately led to the glorious victory at Dien Bien Phu, trying to achieve a similar decisive victory in France.

In response, France sent more “security troops” to the region but to no avail. Some reports showed how the additional troops were committing gruesome, brutal crimes against innocent civilians in the region, further lowering France's leaders' capabilities in governing the country. Some Soviet analysts believe that the French imperialists are just trying to play their colonial game and maintain their oppression of innocent African people.

Despite French brutal oppression, the ANLF is open for peace talks, hoping to resolve the situation in a diplomatic way and minimize civilian damage. The ANLF is hoping for the “full withdrawal of French troops in 3 months' time, recognizing Algerian’s independence.” In a surprising move, despite their action in Algeria, the French Republic expressed interest in peace talks despite the situation. However, no progress has been made, and solutions are vague, suggesting the negotiation might take a long time.

Numerous nations have voiced their support for the ANLF in various ways. The USSR and Cuba declared ammunition support for the ANLF as well as medical facilities and food supply, signaling the communists’ solitary for all oppressed people in the World in their struggle against the colonialists. Countries such as Kenya and the US called for collaboration between the two sides to avoid any civilian casualties.

Some countries, including India, the Czech Republic, and Portugal, raised their opinions on peace recommendations and reconciliation against French and British colonists. Their opinions were neutral and no decision has been finalized.

Besides the struggle against the French in ANLF, a similar situation happened in the British Colony of Kenya, at the same time. Further information was under discussion.

Although there is a negotiation between the ANLF and the French Republic, there is no sign of improvement, indicating the escalation of the current situation. Many other countries urge both sides to consider the civilian impacts and finalize the terms.
