From the 5/11 tragedy, investigations into the Big Ben incident have reportedly led British authorities to conclude that radical Kenyans were responsible for the deadly assault on London's financial district. The British ambassador to the UN called this "a disgraceful act of war" to which "full force" must be replied. In response, the United Kingdom has invoked Article V of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, thereby including the Republic of France, the Republic of Portugal, the Commonwealth of Australia, and the State of Spain. Instead of getting involved in the fight on a direct level, the United States would provide security advisors.
To put an end to the uprising and eliminate the Kenyan threat once and for all, NATO has sent as many as 350,000 troops to the Colony of Kenya, marking a new turn for the Kenya colonial war. The KLFA forces would be forced out of the major urban population centers when NATO soldiers made landfall and consolidated their grip over the Colony of Kenya. Commonwealth planes had taken over the skies, forcing the last Mau Mau Air Force to the ground.
Key infrastructure in the southwestern area of Kenya would be quickly taken by NATO soldiers as they advanced rapidly across KLFA-held territory. Of these, the bombing of the Warsaw Pact stronghold at Kitale Airstrip by NATO forces stands out as the most famous clash. As a result, the bombing claimed the lives of a large number of Soviet and Czech advisors, specialists, and soldiers. Several Soviet and Czech advisors were captured as a result of the subsequent NATO attack on the Airstrip.
Amidst the chaos, Portugal desperately calls for Kenya’s diplomatic cooperation as it feels the nation has not been opening itself up for peace talks. This can be seen in the press conference held yesterday, when the delegate of Kenya has solidly stated that a peaceful resolution will not be proposed with the UK any time soon due to the terrorist allegation, which from the investigation, was actually true.
“Portugal calls for Kenya to speak in a more diplomatic manner or the process will reach nowhere,” said the delegate of Portugal.
Other countries such as the US have also spoken on this issue, stating that what the committee should work towards right now is a peaceful solution and diplomatic talks, not terrorist attacks and constant war.
